Description

We are currently accepting applications for the Residential Support Coordinator (RSC) position, to manage/supervise multiple group homes and supported living locations for individuals with Intellectual &/or Developmental Disabilities.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for managing TNC Community resources and assigned facility including facility budget and funds of individuals receiving services. Responsible for vehicle maintenance, proper function, and safety. Responsible for supervision of Personal Support Attendants (PSA), providing orientation, monitoring of documentation, and direct support activities. Responsible to assist the Residential Support Manager with the oversight of individuals’ health, safety, quality of life, and functional outcomes. The Residential Support Coordinator (RSC) will advocate for the removal of architectural, environmental, attitudinal, financial, employment, communication, transportation, community integration, and any other barriers to the persons receiving services through TNC Community. Responsible to report all suspected/alleged abuse and neglect in accordance with TNC Community policies and procedures.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. Two years of combined direct client service and related management experience preferred (must have at least one year of direct service experience).
• Ability to clear background checks and drug/alcohol screenings as required.
• Must participate in all mandatory trainings and re-certifications as required.
• Ability to obtain a valid Class E Missouri driver’s license or equivalent within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds (weight may vary).
• Flexibility and dependability with efficient and effective time management.
• Be familiar with and able to utilize computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Office).
• The position requires sufficient communication skills: written, verbal, and nonverbal.
• Supervisory and organization skills with solid interpersonal and leadership skills.

Detail

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Maintain a culture of teamwork as well as continual employee development.
• Responsible for staff in-home training.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Responsible for reviewing event reports for accuracy and completion prior to submitting to supervisor.
• Will be present for, complete, and submit timely documentation of scheduled emergency drills as required.
• Will complete a minimum of one (1) site visit monthly at the supervised location(s) to include weekend visits, and overnight visits between the hours of 12am and 5am.
• Review Daily Documentation Record (DDR/ISP Data), and Medication Administration Record (MAR) on regular basis for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide leadership for staff in planning and implementing community outings and ensure outing policy compliance.
• Support Residential Support Manager in staff education/implementation of individual’s support plan by verbal discussion, review of documentation, and observation throughout the day. RSC will assist in verifying that staff understand, can communicate and correctly document each individual’s ISP outcomes, medications, dietary and health/safety needs.
• Monitor expenses and budgets such as: overtime, food, utilities, supplies, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels by participating in scheduled interviews, completing necessary forms, initiating and tracking orientation processes and training in a timely manner.
• May be required to work directly with the individuals we support, assisting them with their various activities of daily living.
• Required to transport individuals out into the community for various activities, Day Programs, etc.
• May be responsible for the supervision of more than 1 location.
